"₹12  For the 12th Month" Donation Campaign
started as I woke up from a very comfortable sleep on 3rd of December around 2 am. The night before, I had changed my usual blanket to a thicker one as the temperature had dropped significantly in our city due to rain and the winter season both dawning upon us at once!

We had been planning on doing something for the people so that they can stay warm during this winter season. Many times we tend to forget the hardships of the ones without anyone to take care of them or with no means to provide for themselves and their dear ones - I slept off peacefully with my winter blanket and woke up in the middle of the night with the thought ," Joel, you could put one blanket on another one when the cold became too much for you to bear, what about the ones who have nothing to keep themselves warm?" 

That thought kept me up all night, I started thinking on how as a community we all can come together to help at least a single person stay warm, but keeping in mind that many of us aren't doing that well financially to afford to contribute this huge sums that are required for the dream for a great social cause to come true!
That is when we came up with the '₹12' campaign, the amount not too heavy on anyone's pockets but when 15 people collectively contribute , we get one blanket for someone who's out there shivering in the cold, probably sometimes getting drenched in the morning mist and dew without a proper roof over their head... Many makeshift houses are in bad condition post the rains, also most organizations that help with house repairs, tarp or plastic sheets for rain have hibernated such projects till next monsoon ; we decided to take that work up as well. Rains quite unfortunately haven't stopped and the dew isn't going to go away for few months.
We are hoping to help at least 600 individuals with blankets and 400 places with the tarpaulin (plastic sheets) for repairs for the first stage of the project.

Everyday coming across various individuals just helps us to be more grateful for the life that we've. So why not extend a hand of help when we are blessed enough to sleep under a roof with some comforting blankets on and a full stomach.
